case study 1: re-engineering 3D PRINTING motorcycle part
1. Our customer wanted to reproduce the broken signal lamp bracket with stronger and more durable material.
2. The part was sent to us for geometrical inspection and strength validation.
3. The part then was 3d scanned using a structured light 3D scanner to obtain the digital representation of the part in .stl file format.
4. The raw .stl file was repaired to remove misrepresentated features by cleaning, smoothing, and remeshing techniques.
5. A new cad model was generated using parametric technique based on the repaired .stl file. the design now can be edited for optimization if needed.
6. The part was 3d printed using abs and polycarborate material. our customer will first use the part for prototyping and potentially as end used part.

Project highlight : Fabrication of spare parts (HRSG Flex Tie) for Tg. Bin 4 Power Plant
In order to reduce the spare part cost and lead time, customer was looking for alternative to manufacture their own spare part for HRSG rather than procure from the OEM. Given the opportunity, we helped the customer by reverse engineered the existing spare part and manufactured the parts by using investment casting. The manufactured parts were lab tested to ensure that the material composition matched with the original part from the OEM. The parts had successfully delivered to the customer.
